Basset Angel

This is Belz, one of MerryBelle's little girl puppies who was born on January 1, 2012. She is growing and thriving and now trying a little puppy mash. We know that she is at least half basset from the maternal side, but we are unsure of her paternal breeding. She will be available for adoption in late spring. 01/23/12

Basset Angel

I am Brady and a handsome boy I am. I have finished with all of my medical work and now I am ready to have a home of my own. I am a gentle giant and have learned to love living in the house. I am an estimated 8 years old, and that would put me in the senior hound category. Though I am a little older, I would love to have a a family where I can be part of the activities as well as spend time at someone’s feet or at the end of their leash for leasurely rambles. My foster family say that I keep my own pace and I have a great sense of humor, in other words, I am a joy to be around. I like people and other dogs and would love to have a furever home of my very own! Fill out an online application and tell them you are interested in the most handsome black and tan basset you have ever seen... me... Basset Angel

Are you in the market for a gorgeous basset lady of a certain age? Would you like a loving hound with long, soft ears to share a couch or bed with? Well look no farther. My nickname is "Momma," because I was used to produce many puppies for my owner. Because I was penned up for so long, new situations make me kind of nervous. But once I get into a routine, I’m fine and dandy. Right now I’m going through a phase where I’m kind of shy around men – don’t know why. But foster mom and dad and I are working on it. Thunder, fireworks, and gun shots are three of my most un-favorite things – I’ll just sit out the Fourth of July fireworks at home while you celebrate. I’m very much a lady – I don’t gulp my food down like those young ‘uns – I take my time! Now just because I'm nine years young, don't get any ideas that I can't join in the fun or go on an adventure or two with you. Don't believe me? Well take a look at this video my foster mom took of me and my basset sisters. As you can see, there's plenty of life left in this gal, and I'd love to share that life with you! Basset Angel

Hey y'all. My name is Brodie! Are you looking for a golden girl with seasoned southern style? I have great house manners and even get along with the cat and bunny! My foster Momma said that I am a joy to have around, there is absolutely nothing wrong with me, and I will make someone a wonderful friend and companion. I love my afternoon romp with my foster basset sibling and I love to run and chase her around until we get tired. I am very well mannered and have a very soft bark, which is much more of a “ruff”. I do not bark at the door or at strangers, but will only bark in excitement for my food or treats, just like any basset worth her salt would do. I am not demanding or stubborn, and like a lady, do not guard my food. I have to run now. I hear that they serve afternoon mint juleps on the porch here and that is not to be missed. I hope that you will choose me to be your furever hound! 06/30/11

Basset Angel

Want a hound whose ears don't drag the ground? Well I'm your man! I may be a little short in the ear department, but I'm all basset everywhere else. I love to play with toys so much I can entertain myself for hours just throwing something around and catching it. And when I'm done, I'm happy to sit next to you on the sofa and get lots of those things called bellyrubs, the more the better! I get along well with dogs, and those things called cats don't bother me either (or me them!). I love to play with kids, but I do better with older kids since I just don't understand why I can't take the food away from the little ones who carry food around and leave it everywhere. If you want a happy guy who has his house manners down pat and can go with the flow, ask for me -- Bruno! 02/04/12
